Near the end of her life, after a long illness, there was little left that could be changed. What remained was being together — in a moment where words had become less important than presence.

Shortly before she passed away, her family was able to collect one of her final tears. A fleeting drop became something that could be kept: a physical trace of a person, a relationship and a goodbye that was already taking place.
